SAFER SPACE PRINCIPLES
We have established these principles for a safer space to enable everyone’s
participation in AFSA’s activities while feeling safe and respected.
The goal of these principles is to
1. Make our on-site and off-site activities physically and
mentally safe spaces for every participant.
2. Guarantee an equal, respectful, and open atmosphere.
3. Reinforce our values in our activities.
Our values are inclusiveness, the appreciation and support of
diversity, openness, fairness, and accountability.
Every AFSA event, meeting, and activity is subject to these safer space principles.
Therefore, every member of AFSA and the others participating in our activities
are liable to familiarize themselves with these principles and adhere to them.
